Yui left Japan for Paris in 2000. She is working both with illustrations and her knitted art and she collaborates with the French children-wear shop Bonton on a regular basis. Her thin pencil lines create delicate, detailed and graphic illustrations, almost like engravings.
Yui has worked with clients such as the Parisian department store Printemps, See by Chloé, Kérastase (L’Oréal), Häagen-Dazs, Avène and the book editor Flammarion. Her work has been exposed both in Paris and in Japan and she is also contributing regularly in magazines like Flavor, Milk, and THE/END.
